There is a danger in our minds that that ‘the call to prayer' can be something super-spiritual and out of the reach of ordinary Christians. There is a danger that people can attend prayer meetings because they feel that they are supposed to be there.
As the reality of the gospel touches our lives we as a church come to a place where we have a desire in our hearts to not only seek the Lord's guidance but to allow Him access to our lives and to the church
The reason why we live as Christians is so that we can become like Christ. We have found that prayer ought to have a special place in our lives not only as individuals but as the Church of the Lord Jesus.
We are called to pray for the church, to seek out His will, to pray for the broken hearted and for the weak and weary. We pray for Botswana and the nations are represented in and for our elders, our relationships and our own lives. Prayer meetings are where we have the privilege of seeking our Father , trusting that as we do this we become more like Christ . Just as Christ sought His father always so we seek Him.
Our hope and our goal is to see the will of the Lord fulfilled in our lives, in the church and in the community. We approach the Lord in simplicity of heart, trusting His grace to show us what to pray for and how to pray.
