The youth meetings take place every other week on Saturdays at 14:30pm.We realize that the Lord has been faithful when we look back on how far we have come as youth in the church. Gone are the days where our youth meetings were about activities that appealed to our flesh, running after the hype and all that is popular within the "modern youth circles". For a time our youth was about maintaining youth's interest and focused on merely playing games, organising activities and discussing topics that we thought were relevant for us. Praise the Lord that the time came when God began to do a new thing in our midst. Many of us have since realised that when He is truly present in our lives we do not need gimmicks to keep ourselves interested in His church.
We know as the youth that the gospel itself is the power to change a heart of a youth as well as any other person. We now look to the Lord for what He wants to do in our meetings rather than what we think we should do. We keep coming to the meetings because something real is taking place in our lives and we cannot deny the power that is taking hold of our very lives.
More and more we realise that the gospel is the same and therefore does not change because of age, culture or gender. The "young at heart" come and they sit side by side with the teenagers and the young adults. Both leave touched by our Lord who is both alive and present in the meeting! Our times of worship now emanates from hearts that are being broken... and we hear the word! We share our struggles, testimonies of what God is doing in our daily lives and we pray for one another. We are confronted and shaken and we have our brothers and sisters who are ahead of us on the road, supporting us and encouraging us to continue serving the Lord in the gospel of the cross! What a grace! Oh what a grace!
